WE ARE HERE TO TRANSFORM MANKIND'S GREATEST CREATION
Dreamfields is a social enterprise aimed to design and transform cities in a playful manner. Our goal is to make Dreamfields a leading global platform for creative urban innovation that will inspire millions around the world to take part in the design of cities. Dreamfields offers a way to re-imagine our urban landscapes. Our projects invite people to connect, play and act together while bridging social and geographical gaps in the city. Our experience shows people are eager to partake in this endeavor and you are welcome to join us to this ride.
or: MISTAKES HAPPEN. WE TRY TO EMBRACEf THEM
It started back in 2012, In Tel Aviv, where we had a dream to create a revolutionary company
to shine a light to cities around the world. We traveled from Israel to the US and Europe to develop our best practices for city-making, by people, and for people. As this path opened up to us it has shown us how complex, funny, fascinating, sometimes scary, cities can be. Our first project DREAMFIELDS TLV was selected to open Tel Aviv's Art Year to celebrate a new wing for the local art museum. For this event, we've designed a beautiful website with a field of digital cubes and an installation made from cardboard designed for audience participation. The result was stronger and the thousands of participants said goodbye to the organized, well-planned game, and started playing with the cubes, inventing their own games, and even taking them home without permission. This moment took us back to the drawing board to start and question how this failure happened. In an overview, we've discovered that in fact, people created patterns, typologies generated by the game. This failure became a stepping stone in a journey to explore the potentials of chaos, self-organization, emergence and free play. It helped us to experiment what we would never believe possible in the crazy ways people can share a space together and transform themselves through this experience. Our projects are part of this ongoing way to understand the potentiality of continuous transformation.
Along this road to evolution, we collected a group of dedicated experts: artists, urbanists, city-makers, designers, builders, visual artists, gamers, educators and performers to work together on the visual creation of Dreamfields.
DREAMFIELD'S THEORY OF CHANGE
or: YES WE CAN :)
Dreamfields is a new way to re-think our urban landscape, inviting people to connect, play and act together. In the core values of Dreamfields is the belief that we are all part of this creation called cities, we all have a right to play outside, claim the spaces we are at. We believe that by place-making (the art of transforming physical spaces) we can create peacemaking. Peace between people and peace between humans and the place. Honorable relations on the micro level of each and every city around the world. We' are dedicated to building more platforms that shall bring peace to communities and create a culture of reciprocity.
Every place counts - no matter if it is the center of the global economy or a neglected suburb in the global periphery. Our projects inspire people to learn their places, to re-frame the story of the place, to make tiny changes in the environment and later - to lead a greater change. We do it with responsibility, step by step, in multiple ways. As we try not to over-manufacture products, We up-cycle materials and found-objects in the places where we work.
A Global movement
Most of humanity lives in Cities. This is the reality. But the majority of humanity has never learned how to live in an urban setting, how to know, understand, and manipulate spaces. Technology deceives us t0 think we have greater power than previous generations but in fact, this power will grow only if we take action and learn how to use it for the greater good. We believe the world can enjoy our wisdom
many ways to participate
Whether it's a large scale master plan for gaming across the whole city or an hour and a half chill walk around town - Dreamfields brings change to the places it works. It brings people together, creates connections, tells a new story, curates the space in a creative way. The target audience is you who is reading these words at this moment. No matter what is your position in life, Change is around the corner.

Nisan is a graduate of The Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary program for outstanding students and holds an M.A degree in city planning from Tel-Aviv University.
Since 2008 Nisan investigated the concepts of participation, and mindful walks, inspired by western and eastern wisdom, to bring this knowledge to wider audiences in playful ways, to touch peoples lives and transform our everyday spaces into fantastic, healthy and vibrant environments. With this vision, Nisan had worked with communities, individuals, institutions and various crowds who seek to create change in their environments and take action. Nisan approach gets that in order to do so, 4 phases are recommended: First, we need to observe the city as it is, with simple techniques given to us by the greatest teachers from the east and the west. Second, to understand it's complexities by using the best cutting edge technologies available and third, to imagine a possible future to the place we are at now. Furth is just being in the place, sensing it and being aware of its happenings.
